Kitchens from Start to Finish

This project took us several weeks to complete, a fully bespoke fitted kitchen, designed, manufactured and installed for a customer based in London. This kitchen was an in frame kitchen, meaning it has a carcass with a frame then attached to the front. Our process starts with design and quotation, before agreeing on a final specification for the units. We are fully flexible, so designs can be tailored through the process, based around other works. If you’re having an extension built, or property significantly renovated, we may not know exact dimensions of some areas prior to manufacturing. With us, this isn’t a problem. Everything is made to order, so framing can be crafted on site, to suit your room.

As can be seen in the video, crafting a kitchen is a labour intensive process, with everything maliciously checked and planned. Once designs have been approved, our first step in manufacturing is usually to prepare the materials, edging each side of the timbers to ensure everything is true, flat and square. From there, we then cut panels to lengths, ripping down to also create the framing, which follows the same process. Drawers are crafted with dovetail joints, with any framing or panels drilled to accommodate concealed pocket screw fixings. Panels are also routed with grooves for the back panels, before frame construction commences.

Following carcass and frame construction, all panels are first primed in our in-house spray booth. These are then further prepared, filled, sanded and mechanically keyed before applying several coats of the chosen paint colour. After painting, all units are then fitted with soft close hinges and drawer rails. Decorative corniche and plinths are generally crafted in the final stage, prior to on-site fitment. Tom and Adam, the team who crafted your kitchen, will then install it. This follows the same standards as our manufacturing, ensuring that all units are fitted plumb, square and in a way we designed them. We also work with other trades to fit solid wood worktops, granite and stone.
