Terms and Conditions (“Terms”)

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the www.rainbowsfurniture.co.uk website operated by Rainbows Furniture Ltd (us, we, or our). Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service. By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.
Deposits
Any deposits paid for an order, either online via our website, or in person, are to secure an order with us for a custom and bespoke piece, whether partially or wholly. Deposits paid are non-refundable in any circumstances, whether that be in the event that the customer changes their mind, doesn’t like the item or it is unwanted, or is unable to afford the outstanding amount. All of our dressers and furniture items are custom, bespoke-made, to order to meet your individual requirements, and as such is very hard to sell on should we need to. Materials are purchased especially for each order, and we have no facilities for the storage of unsold items. Payment of any outstanding balance will be followed up in person, either via phone or email 6 weeks after your initial payment date.
Errors and Omissions
Whilst we strive to always ensure prices and specifications are correct on our website and advertising channels, mistakes do happen and any prices quoted are subject to change, pending order approval and confirmation of your order. A contract with us for the supply and manufacture of bespoke furniture is only entered once we agree to your order, and confirm all of the details provided from you. Payment for an item, either in part or in full, does not provide a guarantee that we will sell and provide said item prior to our confirmation of that order, before purchasing materials and manufacture. In cases where mistakes in pricing have been made, and you have paid in full or in part, and we cannot honour that advertised price, we will offer either offer a full refund to the card used to make your order, or a reduction in the intended price in goodwill. This discount will be at our digression, and we are in no way required to provide this by law.
Delivery
When your item is ready for completion we will email you with a date for delivery a week prior. We request that you make yourself available on the date given, as a change could result in a wait of up to an additional six weeks. Deliveries are undertaken by our own staff, a personal service where those who crafted your item(s) will deliver in person. This two person team are trained in lifting and maneuvering extremely heavy items. Please note that we can only deliver to a ground floor room of your property, with no steps or stairs leading to that room. For insurance purposes and health and safety, we unfortunately cannot lift items up flights of stairs. Dressers are delivered in two parts, a rack and a base. Our team will place the rack on top of the base, but being freestanding pieces, we will do not fix them together. They also shouldn’t be fixed to a wall. Delivery takes place from 8am to 8pm, and customers will be made aware of an approximate time window on the day of delivery and not before.
Please check your items upon delivery. Once the item has been delivered and signed for by the customer they are acknowledging receipt of the item and that everything is acceptable with it. No refunds or returns can be made once the item has been signed for. This includes but not limited to scratches, dents and chipped paint done whilst in transit (this should be taken up with the courier). This does not include faults from manufacturing errors as long as we are notified within 24 hours of receiving your item. These terms and conditions have been made to ensure that you, the customer, understand the way in which we operate, and are designed to ensure that the whole process is made as easy as possible.
We will always aim to meet our given delivery dates, but cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of associated goods, such as electrical appliances etc. We reserve the right to alter our delivery dates without prior notice.
Payment terms
On placing an order, Rainbows Furniture requires a deposit of 50% of the total quote for kitchens, dressers and any bespoke furniture pieces. In some cases, at our discretion, we many ask for full payment up front. Once a deposit or full payment has been received, we then treat that order as firm. An order cannot be placed without a deposit being accepted, or payment being received, and by securing your order it is deemed that you agree to these terms and conditions. Ten working days prior to the agreed delivery date, any outstanding balance is required to be paid. If within four weeks of the agreed delivery date the customer alters this date, the original payment schedule dates must be adhered to.
Payment Method
We accept cash, debit/credit card, and money transfer. All goods supplied remain the property of Rainbows Furniture Ltd until full payment has been received, even in the event of a partial deposit has been paid.
Change in Design and Specifications
Any changes made that alter the overall cost of the kitchen, must be paid for in accordance with our payment terms. Any changes to the agreed plans must be made in writing and in good time. We do not hold ourselves responsible for any changes made in specification etc to any appliances or associated goods supplied.
Workmanship & Guarantee
Once the installation of a kitchen has been completed, any issues arising that are down to unit construction will be rectified by Rainbows Furniture Ltd. Our kitchen units are guaranteed for one year from the date of delivery. The kitchen units will not be guaranteed until full payment has been received by Rainbows Kitchens Ltd. For furniture, our items are guaranteed for one year from the date of delivery. Rainbows Furniture does not hold themselves responsible for any ancillary items supplied, i.e. sinks, taps, electrical appliances, worktops etc. All these items are subject to manufacturers guarantees and warranties. In practice, the manufacturers of such appliances will deal with any problems arising with the supply of their goods. None of these items can be returned once they have been delivered.
After Installation and Liability
Once the kitchen has been installed, the risk of loss or damage to the product passes onto the customer. Rainbows Furniture Ltd shall be under no liability for any defects arising from fair wear and tear, willful damage or negligence and abnormal conditions. Rainbows Furniture cannot be responsible for any movement of wood and the consequence thereof. In practice, Rainbows Furniture Ltd will attempt to deal with any such occurrences.
Wood is a natural product
We will always try to be faithful to our reproduction of colours, but cannot guarantee an exact match in every case. It must also be noted that wood finishes will darken of its own accord over a period of time. All our painted products have knotting to reduce the knots ‘grinning’ through the paint. We cannot guarantee that some knots will, in time, show through and therefore Rainbows Furniture is not liable for any remedial painting work that may arise.
Worktops
These worktops are sold subject to the supplier’s terms and conditions. The final price for these worktops cannot be secured until the actual templating has been done. The price for these products could, therefore, go up or down.
Sub Contractors
Rainbows Furniture Ltd does not carry out any plumbing, electrical tiling or building work. Rainbows Furniture Ltd does not hold themselves responsible for the actions of any other trades employed.
Canceled Orders
These are charged at 15% of the order or the costs incurred by Rainbows Furniture at the time of canceling, whichever is the greater. Any deposit paid is nonrefundable.
Consequential loss
Rainbows Furniture cannot be held responsible for any consequential loss or damage incurred from the supply and installation of one of their kitchens, or supply and delivery of our furniture.

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Rainbows Furniture. Rainbows Furniture has no control over and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party websites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that Rainbows Furniture shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such websites or services.
